    Office lens conversion confirmation...

Just hoping to grab a quick confirmation or correction of my maths this morning. If I'm thinking clearly at this hour on a Monday (highly suspect!!), I'm getting the conversion job a lab did for me as completely off base. Can any of you good souls confirm/deny my suspicions?

    Original full SRx:

    OD -0.25 -0.75 x 005
    OS -0.25 -0.75 x 005
    ADD +2.00

Conversion for Shamir Office should read at near as (if my head is clear on this mind you):
    OD +1.75 -0.75 x 005
    OS +1.75 -0.75 x 005
    Digression of power -1.75

    Lab actually sent:
    OD +3.50 -0.75 x 005
    OS +3.50 -0.75 x 005
    Digression of power -1.25

Did the lab completely jump the shark on me here? I've honestly NO idea whatsoever where they could have possibly come up with a +3.50 near power at all...and we were very clear when sending this order that nothing had been converted, and that the top SRx above was the full correction for the pt., and unconverted in any way.

TIA guys. Now where is my coffee?!?!?!

I'd be tempted to ask if someone at the lab is on vacation and if that person is the one who usually handles occupational lenses.

We're having some other issues with them at the moment as well (first time in a decade to be fair) but the ball continues to be dropped it seems. Am I completely off base in my above assumption/SRx conversion? Or did they do something really right that I'm just missing here...???

Did you send them the already converted RX? I have ran into this issue before when I sent in the RX I wanted for near and the digression, and they took it as being the standard RX, and converted it.. again.

I was told by several labs that they only want the standard and their software converts it in their system for them...

For Shamir "office" lenses I was informed to send the RX as written and the software does the conversion.

Yes, I understand how it's supposed to work. But in all my years, I've never seen a "correct" conversion like this. How do you POSSIBLY get to a +3.50 near power from a -0.25 sph with a +2.00 add in the regular SRx as above? Is this a correct conversion now?

Your conversion looks correct. It looks like it got double converted.
