How can we protect our eyes from computer resolutions?

How could you protect your eyes from the high resolutions? Is someone using any home remedies?
    here are some tips:
    1. Drink lots of water
    2. Blink your eyes
    3. Eat fresh vegetables

Er... You realize that its the intermediate resolutions that are a problem, right? Low resolutions don't tend to be a problem because we can see the pixels easily without strain. High to very high resolutions make it impossible to resolve the individuals pixels/sub-pixels, so the eyes relax. The phenomenon is seen, to a limited extent, with e-readers that use e-ink, its more like print media, our eyes perceive a given glyph as a whole rather than trying to resolve the individual elements that make up the glyph. So, its really the resolutions in-between low and high to very high that are the problem. We are just on the cusp of the "Very High" resolution era, so computer eyes strain is going to become much less of an issue in the not too distant future.

Put a hat/sun visor on....something to protect your eyes from the glare of overhead lights. Make sure the AC is not blowing in your face, that will dry your eyes. Blink more often. When staring at a screen we do not blink as much as we do in casual conversation. Take frequent breaks. God did not design us to stare at a screen all day, we did that to ourselves. Quit worrying about screen resolutions and find something more beneficial and important for all of mankind. Then take a break and go fishing.

Years ago when I was working in the lab, we would have serious discussions about taking the old lens grinder outside on a nice day and set it up on the patio furniture and work in the nice weather. Wouldn't that be great!

A newly conducted study by École d’Optométrie from the University of Montreal found that:

    • Wearing a lens treated with a blue-light filter coating helped reduce symptoms of eyestrain by half during prolonged computer exposure. 2.42 symptoms before versus 1.47 symptoms with blue coating (p=0.04).
    • After wearing a lens treated with a blue-light filter coating, subjects with symptoms of eyestrain due to prolonged computer exposure felt a significant improvement of the following symptoms: dry eyes, sticky eyes, and the feeling of grittiness or "sand" in the eye.
    • They also reported a trend of the overall vision and improved visual performances in situations of low contrast.

Surely, this highly scientific study also measured the same effects of simply turning down the cool color cast of a screen a couple clicks as well right? No expensive snake oil lens needed!

As for "resolution", that would have nothing to do with color cast of course - though I fail to see how a given resolution can be shown to be more difficult for a human eye/brain to resolve into a usable image. That just makes no medical sense whatsoever.
