I am currently trying to study to take my COT Exam in the Fall. I have been working in a office with 1 ophthalmologist and 2 optometrist. We mainly deal with cataract and macular issues. I have been there for three years and pass my COA two years ago. I want to pass the written COT exam but am struggling with wanting to study.
I currently have The Ophthalmic Assistant by Stein and Freeman, The Ophthalmic Medical Assisting by Newmark and O'Hara (my main study material for the COA test), and the Eyetech.com COT study coarse that you have access to for 6 months. So far I have only been using the Eyetech material to study from.
Any advice or suggestion form anyone that has taken it recently would be greatly appropriated. Do you think I have the right study material or is there something else I could get? Any major areas that I would be lacking in my everyday work load that I should focus on?
Thank for the advise in advance!!!
