It's not 'closing' per se, but since Darryl has passed away there is no one to update it. I have even tried contacting some people in the industry to see if they would be willing to take it over and maintain it in memory of Darryl's contributions to the industry, but everyone I contacted has declined.

As I said, as long as I'm able to keep OptiBoard running (and Darryl's family doesn't object) I will keep OptiCampus available.

I doubt that there is anyone out there with the smarts to carry on with his work. It is indeed an unfortunate comment on the state of the eye care business today. I'm surprised that none of our "educators" haven't picked up the ball.

Frankly I was surprised too. I fully expected that at least one of the major players in the industry would have stepped forward to honor Darryl's contributions to the industry, but I was sadly mistaken.

We are infiltrated by too many people that are just totally sales oriented. Those of us who are interested in the science are truly a small number.
