    new pupilometer

So I my old pupilometer broke and I got my replacement today. I got a Hilco PL 850 and it looks really fancy. I like some of the features on it because my old one just too PD measurements. The only issue I have with this new one is I cannot see the light reflected on the pupil. I have had others test it as well and I changed the battery also. I think its weird that the light is red and not sure if that has anything to do with it. Has anybody had any luck with this? I think I am going to return it if I cannot come up with a solution.

What does Hilco say? I would call and have a talk with someone who was good at using it. Sounds defective though.

Did you get the users guide? Hilco no longer sell this unit.

there should be an adjust that you can make to brighten the light. It should be in the manual as to how to do it. I got new pupilometer awhile back and had the same issue, lo and behold it is address in the manual.

I looked at the manual and your press the hold and print buttons and you can adjust the brightness. When I do it the screen just says fail.

I am sure all machines adjust differently, I know I had to try a few times but it did work and my unit is great

    Hello everyone
I've just purchased a used one of these (Hilco PL 850)
Can anyone provide me with a link for the User Manual?
What is the procedure to calibrate it?
    Hope someone can guide me.
