They are all being bought by My Eye Doctor near me. Its sad but their patients that appreciate the care we can give flock in droves to us. I hope the same is happening to the few indy labs left,though I don't work for one so I don't really know you are right.

Had a fantastic conversation and looking forward to creating a relationship with them in the future! For now I just wanted to make it easy for people to view the changes over the past year:

Positive. I've provided them my number. $14,000,000,000 (yes - that's billion). Not only have we not sold to Essilor, but we also don't process VSP or EyeMed. We'll leave that for the big guys. They appear to be doing a great job of it so far.

Someone mentioned time zones; we process orders 22/5 now. Working towards 24/5. Central Time Zone with 7P UPS Pick-Up. Even west coast labs struggle with getting pick-ups after 5P. Just sayin.

There is a Cherry Optical on the eastern side of Michigan that I believe was sold to the big E a while back. That may be where the confusion comes from.
