You are asking for a list of all digital whole sale labs not owned by Essilor?

TRO is my go to lab. I love them. Luzerne also rocks as does FEA the optiboard sponsor, who does Free Form in glass!!!

Also whatever lab Sharpstick works for on the west coast (I don't know the name). Digital Eye Lab also does Rodenstock stuff and Seiko stuff.

You would be correct in that E doesn't own DEL but they do not provide Rodenstock, unless Scott is doing it on the side behind the HVAC unit.
Van, works at Single Vision Express, just outside of Seattle.

Hmm I guess I meant that their "house designs" are Rodenstock (at least thats what they tell me) I don't really use them that much. How do you find their ARs hold up?

Identity Optical in Illinois does the Lifescape PAL in variable designs so it's more custom. Love their AR, pricing, redo policy, availability, turn around, and staff! Couldn't ask for more
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?

No their "house designs" are not Rodenstock. It is their own design, if forced I would say that they compare to Shamir. As to their AR, I really like the ClarisHD Plus. Shamir's Glacier is awesome but can only be applied to Shamir's product.

Hmm I wonder why the reps told me they were Rodenstock designs when they were here. Weird. Yeah I thought their AR has looked good every time I've used it (Claris HD on 1.74 and Glacier a handful of times) but I'm very loyal to TRO so I don't use too much of their stuff. DEL can manufacture 1.74 with the thinnest CT of any lab I have ever seen, they are amazing.

Paul, are you sure they actually designed their lenses? I've been told several times they are IOT's with house names. If they actually designed their own lenses it would be more than impressive (if they are any good), since there are very few outside the big 3 (and their affiliates) that do the actual design work. (Like IOT, Augen, ect..)

We carry some... not many. I think I have about 20 at the most in stock. Most of our patients need RX readers, not over the counter. Plus our patients won't pay more than $20 for an over the counter reader and I can't get any that are decent for less. Our Docs seem to think it's fine to tell them to just get a pair of readers at the dollar store. Makes me cringe. They recommend either dollar store readers or an RX reader. Nothing really in between.

Well, from what I've been told by those in the "know" they are using their own design but could not get any info if it is supported through IOT or not.

Expert Optics in Shorewood, Ill has two digital labs running multiple shifts, with a coating facility that has three coating machines. Excellent quality and turn around time. They have their own "house label" digital progressive. We use a lot of it and it does very well for adaptation.
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

You're in the wrong thread for that question. You"re sure to get more answers if you start a thread asking that question.

I second Expert Optics. Have always been able to run any and everything. House A/R and lens design work very well for us.

As I'm obviously going to tell you that FEA is the best lab ever, there's also the slightly-less-biased Vision Monday list you can use to at least get an idea of what independent labs are still left.

"At a Glance" I see that at least two of those are gone. Nexus is now Hoya, Superior is now Big E. Going fast guys.

@Speed - your type of 'shopping for a lab' is much more preferable to the kind that the big E does!
