Patient repaints his glasses every 3-4 weeks

I have a free spirited patient who repaints the tops and temples of his semi-rimless glasses every 3-4 weeks!! And the colors are really wild! He is my personal trainer so I see him every week. When I see a new paint job I just laugh and say you've done it again. Maybe a new fashion trend? We can sell the paint in our offices.

Some type of acrylic paint. He scrapes off the old paint first.

I had a patient who coated her glasses with layer upon layer of nail polish and glitter. Sometimes black, other times red, often yellow. She also scraped off the previous coat before reapplying.

One of my 20 something patients bought a Gucci frame and glued on a bunch of sparkly stones. Apparently she worked at a country bar and had experience with bedazzling her décor from her boots to her hat.
What is reality but a concept unique to each of us? Can anything be classed as real when our perceptions differ greatly on so many things? Just because we see something a particular way does not make it so.

You need to set up a weekly paint session. Set out the paints and brushes, and invite them to come give their frames a touch-up.

I knew a comic book store that did this for tabletop game miniatures - maybe it'll be a nice niche market?

I had a patient once who used to paint her silhouette to match her wig. Burgundy nail polish. She was an interesting individual.

Along the (kinda) same subject line; Don't sell white/light colored plastic templed frames to ladies that dye their hair.

" Why are my frames turning this color?"

"Because you really aren't a red head."

We carried those for awhile, but they never updated their styles, and then $.88 readers were starting to look just as good.

Is there such a thing as "transitions" paint. That would be a cool concept!
