    SunSync

Does anyone know much about the VSP Sunsync lens? I'm getting am impression that they are just transition lens made by VSP. Does anyone have any experience with them?

I tried ordering one pair. CR39 stock lens with Sunsync gray, no AR coating. I felt like the lens was darker indoors versus what I've seen in the same thing for Transitions, so I didn't like that. But that was only one pair. So I don't know if its always consistently like that.

Our office fits quite a few of our patients with the Sunsync. We have had no complaints and when we activate them under the UV light they darken quickly and effectively.

What is the cost savings to the client by getting non-transitions brand?

There are a few new technologies coming to market in changeable lenses and the technology is slightly better but at a lower cost. Maybe that is why they are pushing the transitions authenticity card again.

Copays are the same. Only difference is VSP gives a bigger reimbursement on the Sunsync lenses

It’s a good, solid photochromic product with some additional benefits such as UNITY Savings and a one-year satisfaction guarantee.

What is the difference between the reimbursement for Transitions versus Sunsync? I have tried calling our VSP rep to try to get at least some general numbers/info but they said there was no difference.
