Tell me about your experiences with IOT designs

    Hi All,

I am working for a 7 doctor multilocation chain in the southern tier of New York. We are interested in switching our lab work internally and using a private label set of designs. I have heard IOT is the best one out there but I would love feedback on them and any others you may recommend.

    Thanks

    John

Do you surface now? All designs are pretty good; there is much more than a good design that makes this work. What are you trying to do and what makes you think private label is the way to go?
I tell clients we use our lenses and that is it; we don't need them looking at laser marks for no reason. I never felt it was worth the trouble of my own laser marks nor would anyone but me know.
I am opening a new brand of lenses, hence my questions and maybe we can be of service.

Yes currently they surface conventional, but are looking at replacing that equipment with soft tool. The patients take what the Opticians sell them, private label lenses offer the best cost benefit for the practice. When you consider the choices of providers I want to make some more informed choices. IOT, Crossbows, Zeiss, Hoya, Essilor, all of these offer private label designs. What makes your lenses better? what are your qualifications to design lenses?

Greetings from your neighbor in JC!
A practice I work with in Greene uses a lab that uses the IOT lenses (I think the Alpha series). Haven't had an issue yet, but we don't use them for general purpose progressives. For that they have a different lens that we use. For the IOT lenses, we use it more as a task-specific lens. We've only been using them for a few months, but again, no issues yet.
