    Question Briot Patternless Edgers

I am the lab manager for an optometrist in Mississippi. We recently replaced our aging Santinelli LE3030 edger with a Briot Accura CX. Our Briot is consistantly giving us sizing errors, errors with seg heights, and rotational errors. I was just curious if any other opticians or doctors had encountered errors of this sort with Briot edgers.

    Thanks

    HFord,

We have been using the Accura CX for about 3 years now. I have found that you have to line up the lens in the center of the blocking eyepiece in order to get consistant results. You can rotate the eyepiece until the polarization only leaves the circle in the middle. You must calibrate the tracer on a fairly regular basis to assure consistant sizing.

The techs at Briot can walk you through it. We've had very few problems.

I don't know if this helps, but I hope you're having fun and making money!!
