Stock Single Vision Lenses and AR

I'll ask the question bluntly: Which stock single vision lenses do you use? We have used Seiko with their Surpass ECP AR and they have been solid and at a very good price, but changes with Seiko/Hoya have me looking elsewhere. Luzerne sells Younger stock lenses at a good price. Any thoughts about the Younger AR coating?

Hoya labs will be picking up the Seiko stock lenses, I'm told very soon, but now may be a good time to reassess what we are selling.

    Thanks for your thoughts.

I suggest you look at our FSV on our web sight www.superoptical.com or call me 1-800-543-7376. We stock 1.56 in clear and photochromic with AR and Poly with AR all at very reasonable prices.

I use Seiko stock too, and although I don't like Hoya its more of a merger than a take over. Right now the Surpass stock is a terrific value, and I don't think that will change. So unless things get buggy we are staying with Seiko stock for now.

I get my stock from Sharpstick and am pleased with the price and quality. It's almost all Seiko and made my sisters new glasses with their lenses.

Seiko FSV are excellent lenses for the money. Increasingly, except for children, we're using only top-tier AR FSV lenses, like Phoenix EX3 and Duravision Platinum.

I get stock lenses from vsp, pfo global and younger. The unity ar lenses from vsp do exceptionally well for me, the younger ar...the super hydro... is quite comparable to the unity product but quite a bit cheaper. The pfo lenses have ar that is not the easiest to clean but they are cheap. I feel the younger for the price are probably the best value with vsp a close 2nd. Also, the unity brand seems to have weird base curves though...a -4.00 might comes on about a 4 and yet a +1.00 will come on a 3?? Not sure why , younger lenses are alot flatter across the board.

I use Crizal Avance, Duravision Platinum and Unity Elite lenses (which I swear are just rebranded Somo lenses but..). Sometimes we will use Alize or Purecoat. It works for us and the one thing our customers always comment on when they are coming back from another retailer/office or having ordered online - the coatings we use are better by miles over what they got somewhere else.

I use Hoya's 1.53 trivex lens. Very affordable and good quality.
