In need of a demo lens/pattern for Cazal 955

A customer brought in a Cazal 955 frame he had purchased second hand without any lenses in it. Does anyone have a pattern or demo lens I could have?

We looked and did not have as did Barry; we called Cazal and they did a warehouse search and could not find a pattern or lenses.
Sorry but we can't be of help.

All else fails do it the old fashioned way, Lay the frame on a pattern blank, trace it and cut with a scissors then file like crazy till you happy. Good rainy day project.

Looking at the frame on your link, you may be able to put a piece of cardboard, curved in the gap at the bridge (with no eyewire) to get your tracer to complete the circumference.

I found a place online selling that frame with a return policy. Maybe you could order it, trace lenses, and return the frame? smartbuyglasses.com Or call that vendor and see if they would sell a pattern?

Another way is to take a full frontal picture ( Yea, I said that, it sounds sexy!) of the frame front, print it out, cut the lens shape out (improvise on the nasal corner with no eye wire) then trace it on a pattern blank. Run a demo, tweak from there.

I am the only one that has put a frame in the copy machine, then cut out the shape? I then take the shape and tape it to a pattern blank, trace and cut. Works like magic!
Before google and Optiboard, we use to have to think a little!

BTW, don't try it using the autofeed!
