    Rodenstock and Sieko

    Hello,

A customer came in to the store recently asking for the best single vision lenses that fitted his prescription (which was 1.50 2.75 and 2.25 2.25) I recommended the Hoya Nulux EP lens... He had went earlier to different stores that sold rodenstock impression mono 2 and Seiko superior lenses ...both stores marketed their lenses to him as the best thing since sliced bread

i was hoping someone can help shed some light on both these lenses and how they differ from the Hoya's

    Thanks for any input

The Nulux EP is bi-aspheric but as far as I know not POW optimised. Although a great lens, I actually think the Rodenstock or the Seiko would be better because they are freeform (if I understand correctly and his astigmatism is 2.75) . Then again, Hoya have the best coatings, so I would probably made the same recommendation as yourself.

The best single vision lens in my opinion would be a glass Zeiss individual...
