Hello,
I am seeking to take a medical coding/billing course in/near Southern California. Would anyone recommend a seminar? Or a full-blown course?
For those that have taken the course, please let us know what duration is recommended (e.g. is one day enough? or a week?)

If you Google "optometric medical coding course" you will find more information than what you want. In addition, your professional association has lots of resources.
The AoA has a course on this. I would recommend the Eye Coding Forum. Classes, seminars, etc for one price.

For basic E+M coding medicare has great publications. If you will be billing for procedures and em same day look to cci edits.
Also most insurance carriers you contract with will also have some policies you should read.
