Sounds like a dream job! (literally!) Is there actual work to be done, or is there a couch for me to nap on?

Ironically, one of the people we are interviewing on Monday said that she saw the posting on Craigslist, and thought it was too good to be true. She's currently working at a dept. store optical, 30 hours per week, but 25 of the hours are by herself. She's answering phones, verifying insurance, checking in glasses, and greeting patients. Oh...and she's also an optician, but that seems to be an afterthought for some of the corporations. She really thought the posting was a prank.

How about listing some of the Yesses that your prospective minion must possess:

    • Yes to a clean urine test
    • Yes to no Hep C
    • Yes to no felony convictions
    • Yes to a willingness to work assigned hours
    • Yes to always showing up on time
    • Yes to not leaving early
    • Yes to being literate
    • Yes to having the ability to make change for a dollar without having to whip out your smart phone
    • Yes to not texting, shopping or enhancing your image on social media while working with a customer
    • Yes to not needing six weeks paid vacation the first six months

And willing to work for less than they can get on town help.

Good luck in the land of the lounge about.

    Dick,

Sorry, you must have misread the post. I'm looking for an optician, not a minion. I realize that you've been out of the game for some time, but this does give me insight into how you must have viewed your employees. I'm not sure what "town help" or "land of the lounge about" is a reference to, but this area is known for highly skilled, competent, and compensated opticians.
