    Squeaky National Optronics 6ES

Went out of town for two weeks didn't use the machine. Came back cut a few pairs and it's squeaking after completion as the blade decelerates, sounds like it needs oil, I put in a call to National Optronics and waiting on a call back but I figured i'd ask if anyone has any experience with this.

3 in 1 oil on all moving metal spindles and parts.

Make sure NOT to lube the slide rails only the lead screws. Also, make sure to wipe the lead screws after lubrication, you only want lube in the grooves of the lead screws no the on the outside as this will attract dust/dirt. If you do this it will attract dust/dirt onto the rails and will cause movement issues and cause the servos and screws to work harder. The motor/wheel spindle has sealed bearings so oil won't do a thing if it is coming from that area. I place one to two drops of machine oil on both sides of the bevel lead screw and work it into the carriage using the cleaning utility to move the carriages through their entire range, you can only really lube from the front on the size lead screw. Typically 2 to 3 passes works out the squeaks YMMV.
