    Regards,
    Golfnorth

Warby now ranks in the 3rd spot after Zenni with Oakley in the number 1 position.

So I guess they have to make some effort to gain back some popularity.

With Oakley now selling eyeglass frames on their website along with the sunglasses, they may need more help than that

I had no idea Oakley had gone online with their frames. Just verified with their CSRep that you can purchase the frames on their website and take it into any of the listed opticals or Oakley stores for your RX lenses. lame...

While I no longer work in an optical shop, I certainly feel for the folks out there that now have to address this situation. How long has this been going on and has anyone heard any advanced notice from the rep about ophthalmic Oakleys being sold on oakley.com?

    "How much are these Oakley's?"

"$$$. And we can put your prescription in them."

"I know. That's how I found your store. I just wanted to see what they looked like first because they're $$ cheaper on line, and I wanted to see if I liked another style better. But I will be back to have the prescription put in them. Oh- just in case I change my mind could you write these two other models down for me?"

I had only noticed it a few days ago when I was checking out the Oakley website itself. We didn't have any warning from our Oakley rep that it was going to happen (and honestly I wouldn't expect him to).

FYI Oakley has now been completely integrated into Luxottica's supply chain. I don't have to order Oakley from Oakley anymore, I can order it using my LUX account and they now ship from the LUX NA warehouse.

Yeah, but do you have to put up with an Oakley "rep" and Oakley "customer service"?

Used to be they wouldn't drop ship to a lab, either. (Like we're diverting their precious product.)
