Briot Accura CX dressing sticks

My polishing wheel is working less than optimally in terms of the final finish. I would like to hit it with a dressing stick. Briot no longer has the dressing stick or wheel in their e-catalog for this model for the polishing wheel. They only have it for the roughing and finishing wheels. Does anyone know the specifications of the polishing wheel and what dressing stick is appropriate for it? Thank you.

That was a quick reply. Thanks. So you are saying that it is indeed a diamond wheel and aluminum oxide dressing sticks are appropriate? Do you know what grit size would be appropriate for the polishing wheel? Thanks.

I assume that the wheel is cBN diamond wheel as I cant think of any edger made in the past thirty years that uses a vitrified wheel therefore an aluminum oxide dressing stick in any grit from 120 to 320 should work just fine with light pressure and plenty of coolant flow.

Have you dressed your wheels before? Are you sure it is dressing that is needed? You can also clean it with Brasso and a brass bristle brush. Also Dirty water is the #1 nemesis to polish.
