    Question Vision Plans

Hello there, I want to know how many medical insurance plans are there for vision, whether it related to Union or not, federal, or private plans that customers use. Many optician are anxious to know since the opticial industry gradually advances and so the medical insurance plans do too.
Greatly appreciate the reply, thank you in advance.!:D

    OD Tech:

When asking that question, you must be more specific.

There are millions (OK, trillions) of plans out there, but not all of the three O'd are allowed/permitted/invited to be panel members.
Many plans are nothing more than "frame clubs".

Hello there repliers, and viewer, as per the requst i 'll make it understandable by what i mean "Vision Plans".
For Example Medical insurance coverage like : Medicare, medicaid, americhoice and everything that has to do with the word "Health" like "HealthFirst" etc...

Take dental coverage from let say HealthFirst , you go the doctor and doctor tells you that some teeth and the procedure not covered by the insurance/coverage/plan.

Now back to Optical world, iam not a doctor but i'm a student -optician and by the research i made some of the opticial stores has on their windows, plans that they accept to service the client, the client that doesn't want to pay the full amount but only half of it, the rest is paid of by the plan.

dear Mr Johns i thank you for your reply and hope i made it coherent enough to satisfy your word "specific".;)

    Here we go!

Medicaid straight and different PCP Care Plus, Americhoice, Fidelis, CHP, US Healthcare, HIP, and maybe 10-15 more.
    Medicare with their coinsurances,
Private insurance companies like Oxford, BC&BS, GHI, Prudential, Principal, Cole to name a few.
Unions about 500 of them in our Tristate area.
Discount plans like Eyemed, Vision One and others.

    How is this?

    Verrrry easy.
Lcl 32BJ pays you $125 for
    Eye exam
    Frame retail $150
Progressive , FT or SV lenses
    AR, Tint, UV
NYC Sanitation pays you 50 or 60 for the same servise exept AR but you have to give them also a 150 value on the frame.

    Just a couple of examples.
