I wonder what color tint it has? I think any lens that just blocks deep blue (indigo/violet) and passes through the good blue (azure/cyan) will have to have a tint to it (usually yellow or yellow/green).

Virtually means almost. That means it has color. Which color?

Per the release posted, this "virtually clear" lens "absorbs and filters" a portion of the visible spectrum.
Ergo this lens is not clear.
Which is no different in appearance like all the other blue bandwagon lenses of the past year or two. While the mechanism may be different in some way, the result *must* be the same - the appearance of a filter or 'tint' color in the lens.
It remains completely impossible to alter or remove any given part of the visible spectrum, and not have it alter what is viewed through said lens. Why is something so academic, so hard for all these marketing departments to ignore?

So you're saying that you're filtering the frequency of peak sensitivity (or very near - depending on the individual) of blue cone cells, and that this in turn doesn't alter the visual perception of color in any way? That is a statement completely at odds with itself. Either you are, or you are not attenuating light of a given frequency. If the answer is positive, then you are altering the color perceived through the lens. You can't have it both ways.

Well, its a slow Sunday and I see that some of us have nothing better to do than argue about something that we have not as yet seen (pun intended.) Why not reserve your opinions until you have the lens in hand and have actually examined and analyzed it.
Why not ask Judy to send you a sample so that you can make an educated comment?
I eagerly await your actual learned scientific observations.

Alrighty then, I'll hazard a guess that it has a slight greenish yellow or slightly chartreuse tint. But we may never know unless you post a picture.
In the immortal words of Jimmy Connors "Are you Serious"
You are going to make an evaluation of a lens color based on its representation on your computer monitor?
It's better than no description of the color, which is what we're getting. I do have a MacBook Air which has a pretty nice retina display.
I am utterly baffled by the inexcusable rudeness in this thread. Judy said clearly that she did not have the product to show you yet, and that she would do so when she had it. How about a little collegiality with industry colleagues with a new product to demonstrate? Jeez.
Threads like this make me embarrassed to post here.

Hey, she posted an advertisement here, and said she had pictures which she refuses to post, and then suggests opening an account and BUYING a sample! All the major players supply free samples. The demeanor on this forum doesn't come close to sinking to the level of that most famous of all rudeness himself, D.T.
Look at her most recent post for the refusal.
Why is everyone here so RUDE! I think Judy has been more than professional.
Oh please, absolutely no one was "attacked". An extrordinary claim was made about a lens that purportedly blocks visible light frequencies - yet is somehow able to remain "virtually clear". Asking for direct evidence of such, instead of a sales pitch, is perfectly reasonable. It's a rather extraordinary claim.
Instead, we're left with an "I'm so much smarter than you!" post, and a refusal to provide any non-marketing reference material. Finished off with an admonishment to BUY said product to learn about it. Rude indeed, and anything but professional. Hope Judy is able to learn from this experience, and grow as a rep.
