    Anondized Titanium Eyewear

Does it exist? I haven't found any, I had a patient complaining about his coating peeling off his frame and we got into a discussion of coloring titanium. I told him I didn't think memory metal could be colored, but he insisted titanium could be - by which I assume he meant anodized. Anodized titanium jewelry is great and available in a wide range of colors. Are any manufacturers doing anodized titanium eye wear? I remember a frame with an anodized aluminum temple that was kind of rainbowy.

I'm talking about solid colored anondized titanium which I believe can be achieved via different heat points - someone have any info?

If you don't mind expensive, try Lindbergs. That's how they color all their titanium and while it's not perfect, it's close.

Zero G is also sheet titanium that is colored. If one can do the rest are not far behind. This is actually very common on many lines we carry.

You might try any of these companies although you might find the cost od anodizing a single frame quite expensive.

Ovvo frames are unique in that there frames are Ti on the outside with very thin stainless steel core. The feel is incredible. The steel ads a little bit of substance that some Ti lack, but the Ti feel is much warmer and more durable. This patented bi-metallic combination was developed for surgical instruments, and Ovvo has the only license for eyewear. They are much stronger than either straight Ti or stainless.

and they are more reasonably priced.

Wow!!! They look great but why oh why did they go with that pad design? It's a killer to me if it's all silicone.
