Looking to get a new one. Any feeling on best bets or are they all pretty similar?

All about the same. No more exciting then a glass of water. Last time I bought one was about 3 years ago.

Consider a used dental practice ultrasonic cleaner, preferably one with a simple analog on/off switch. I have a 40 year old L&R t-14 that will outlive me. There's one on eBay now. New ones with at least 100 watts of power, and one piece stainless tanks are $400 on up.

I've got one that was scrapped by Honeywell when they moved away from cleaning circuit boards with vaporized solvent. I took the vapor coils out, soaked the unit in auto engine degreaser for a week, washed it down, and presto!
It holds about 8 gallons, has its own built-in heater, and a 250 watt ultrasonic transducer. It will vibrate the teeth out of your mouth lol. I think I bought it for about $25.00 from a used equipment company in Minneapolis, up on North Washington Avenue.
If your city is large enough to have an industrial section, check your yellow pages for "used manufacturing equipment dealers". Many times they purchase entire plant contents at auction and then resell to the public (or other commercial businesses). I've got my eye on a Bothner milling machine...*le sigh*
Mike, I need a 8 gallon ultrasonic!!! When is it hitting ebay?
Seriously, if you want to sell it I need one as a gift for my brother to clean out motorcycle carburetors, If not please find out the model # for me.
Be happy to! Tomorrow!
It's a Branson 125.
