    Fitting Plano Drivewear Lenses

    Hi All,

Kindly excuse our ignorance on this.
We have just received a pair of digitally processed Drivewear Plano Lenses and would like to know what is the right technique to fit them.
We mean considering the axis of polarization or whatever it may be technically termed.
The patient is sensitive and has had a bad experience with Drivewear causing headaches.
The frame is a Boss Orange with base 8.00 the new lenses we ordered are also of base 8.00

    Kindly guide us.

    Thanks

Rotate them until they turn black. One is now on axis the other 90 degrees off. Hold one to a plano polarized sun lens you know is on axis. If it's black then it is off 90 degrees rotate 90 degrees to get correct axis mark and edge.

Seriously- are you really working in a wholesale lab and do not know this???

Yes I am becoming a curmudgeon in my dotage!

You have to admit it pushes the boundaries that the poster works in a wholesale lab and has no one to ask this question too.

Reminds me of an OB'r who doesn't post as often these days relating how after watching a lens set and cut in the edger for the first time, asked if turning the sizing wheel up made the lens bigger.

2040- I am sorry I doubted that you are a wholesale lab but Optiboard does get some posters who say they are in the optical field and are not.

    I wish you kind regards.
