    Specialty and RGP contacts

I am wondering if anyone can help guide us to some online references on specialty fit and rgp contacts. We have a new doctor and her patients have all followed her here. Her specialty is in hard to fit, RGP's, and a wide variety of specialty contacts (soft and hard). We are having trouble ordering and the like because we just don't have enough experience and understanding with these. Any suggestions would be great! Thank you!

    youtube is amazing.

My rule, fit largest diameter possible, adjust everything else to compensate.

We don't do the fit. We just do the ordering for the doctors and techs. Thanks!

You should have this book: "The Ophthalmic Assistant".

So, are you looking for a supplier, or are you looking for fitting information? Seems to me that the new OD should have all the fitting peramiters for the lenses. You just need to order them? Or are you trying to learn what the OD is fitting? Sounds like a little office meeting with some training from the OD is in order to me.

If you are looking for a supplier, can you not use the one the doc used at their previous location? If the pts are returning to the doc, the previous supplier should be able to help you by noting what was ordered previously. Likewise, a good lab can help you get what you need for new fits if you contact and ask them.

It's not on-line, but a subscription to Tyler's Quarterly would sure help you out. They provide parameters, materials, etc. for just about any CLs available in North America, and also provide solution & care info, and pricing.
