With our current system, the NO 7e, we have 4 stations,...edger, bocker, tracer and an intake auto-lensomer... sometimes with 3 or 4 people working the stations.
The HPE 8000 has a blocker/tracer/lensometer combo unit which means I can only have one person working these three functions, but it does seem more efficient. It also lets you drill one lens while you are cutting the next lens. If the cycle times on the HPE800 are faster than the 7e, this could save time and staff.
just thinking out loud here.... appreciate all the help.
