I got mine 2 months ago and it's wroth money.
I use it to fix hinges also i use the staple to fix plastic and Acetate frames.

If you can't find one, I use locking pliers to hold the metal while I use my welding torch to heat the locking pliers. Very effective and often times much better to control heat.

They're awesome for stuck screws heat a bit an they open. Great for frame making, gave up the rivets when I got mine.
