Blue Jumper Problems tinting Younger Camber in Trivex?

Any suggestions from Younger? I have stopped using the Camber with tints due to all the splotches on the front side until we get it fixed.
We have no problems with any other trivex lens and that is 97% of what we use.

We do like the lenses and the increased plus power in the near zone.

Do you have a picture? Its probably the hardcoat failing, no?

But no, I've only tinted a small handful of Camber and they were CR39, but I like you have no problem tinting Trivex. Its amazingly easy to tint stuff.

So in a past life, and I mean 8-10 years ago, I would use a hot water bath to get my Trivex warm before trying to tint them and that helped. The other thing to check is with the lab to see if they are using a tintable hard coat. Some times the hard coats used on poly/Trivex cannot be tinted. Im sure someone from Younger can give you better assistance than that but in the mean time its something to mull over. If I can be any help please let me know (kgardner@iotamerica.com)

A tintable backside hard coat would solve the problem, its usually done by decreasing the curing time.

Blue Jumper Sometimes when tinting Trivex, bubbles, pinholes, or uneven coating can occur

Sometimes when tinting Trivex, bubbles, pinholes, or uneven coating can occur. To avoid these problems entirely, place the Trivex lenses in an ultrasonic cleaner before tinting. If an ultrasonic cleaner is unavailable, simply clean the lenses thoroughly with a mild detergent and water.and water.
