    Who makes the BEST Phoropter?

Just looking to get opinions on who makes the best phoropter for reliability and longevity? Any suggestion, actual model numbers, etc would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen: Marco, Topcon, and Reichart thus far... I do not believe I have seen a Haag Streit phoropter yet. We are soon looking to buy pretty much all Hagg Streit equipment in the very near future, if that gives any idea of what quality and money we are looking at.

    Thank you for any advice!

contact your local Walman distributor. They sell many diffferent types and can give you advice and referrals to docs that use particular types. Also, I think Ruffatti Ophthalmic Instruments offers phoropters in Chicago area. http://roi2020.com/

If you are planning on using electronic records eventually, you should consider the electronic phoropters. They integrate and the findings go direct into the record. Saves time

I personally believe the manual phoropters are going the way of the phonebook. Prices on the used ones will be going down.
