I've heard stories of optical store owners in southern Ontario getting cold calls and random visits from optometrists looking for work. How bad is the situation?

Ontario is flooded with OD's looking for work. Some are even working practices PT with no guarantees just in the hopes they can see a few walk-in patients each day. Ever since Waterloo doubled its annual output of OD's, it has created an undesirable situation for new OD's entering the market place.
