Has anybody tried these yet?
From what I gather on their website there is a lot less distortion (but what progressive doesn't say that). It also has wider intermediate and a fourth zone?

It would help if I included the website:

My notes from the original JJ design says long corridor, soft, moderate distance off-axis blur, power rate in corridor seemed more linear than others.
The patent paper I read attributed the unwanted astigmatism advantage of the split design to about 7%. Of course, one can say it's much more than that compared to a PAL that has higher levels of unwanted astigmatism, but it's not due to the split design, it's due to good lens design, and a long corridor with soft boundaries. All progressive lenses have some distortion (represented by the shaded areas in the diagram above), but with DEFINITY, the amount of distortion is dramatically less. - See more at: http://definitycommunity.com/view/fa....AMoiqzpJ.dpuf
From my experience, it's a good design for hyperopes, and maybe emerging presbyopes.
Hope this helps,
