This sort of thing should bring every optician to their feet doing a happy dance...
We are starting to see a nice shift in the independent wholesale labs producing lenses that rival those of the giants.
If that "trickle-down" can keep going we may see a resurgence of the small independent wholesale lab being able to survive in the marketplace.
Monopolies on any given product, let alone an entire industry from insurance to frames, is not healthy.
