We recently started stamping all rx's with a "Save this prescription- Replacement copies $5.00" stamp. We're trying to cut down on patients who treat them as something they can throwaway then want us to jump through hoops to get another one. Sometimes only a few weeks later.
So now some of the patients are taking a cellphone photo of them to be sure they have it on file which begs the question would you fill it?
I think this is really an office policy issue (like "expired rx's") but I know I would. Is you're office prepared for it?
