    Question nu-tech grooverite repair

Hey there optiboard goers i need some help repairing a grooverite that my lab manager did not throw against the wall. The blade will no longer rotate and by all accounts that tells me the belt is off the track. I cannot seem to open the shell of the grooverite. Ive taken off the bar which holds the rotation chuck and unscrewed the two screws up top. I can only image that the three screws at the bottom are whats holding it together. I cannot for the life of me remove those screws. Is it necessary to take thoes screws out to open it? am i in the right place here? It's my first time repairing one of these so any help would be nice. ill send pics along if needed. Halp!

Turn over machine, remove screws, reinstall belt, replace screws, belt should be fine...unless its damaged.

mdeimler is correct. If you can't remove the screws it would indicate water has leaked and corroded them. It's also possible that the bearing has seized up. Can you rotate the wheel by hand? If you can it's the belt or lack there of. If you can't you may need a new bearing.

Got it. The screws were in there pretty good. had to take a hammer to it with the phillips head screw drive to get them unstuck. The belt was damaged and the motor had to be realigned. Cleaned it up and its running smooth! thanks everyone.
