Hi all,

I searched for Avesis and the newest thread is over a year old. I know the general thought on all insurance is don't take it, but.... Do you have to use a lab they own like Davis or is it a lab network like vsp or vba ? Is it like Davis, VSP, VBA where you don't have an actual lab bill or do you just use a private lab and hope they pay you more than your costs?

any help from people who take it it currently would be appreciated.

It's chose your own lab. As for the pay...well...
From what I understand they only cover certain things and give a small to no discount on most upgrades. For the store it's a good plan in that you make a bit more, but sometimes the client may not want to spend a little more. Hope this helps and good luck!

Avesis allows any lab of your choosing for exam and frames expect no more than $75-100 back from them total.
