    Signature vs xtractive

    Hello Optiboarders,

Does anyone have a copy any published charts comparing the performance of Transitions Signature with Xtractive lenses? What we have been telling our customers is that Xtractive lenses are darker than Signature, as this was what we were told. However, we've had several complaints now from customers claiming their Xtractive lenses do not turn as dark as their pair of Signature lenses.

    Merry Christmas to all!

Wow, I find that very hard to swallow. I find that Xtractive is demonstrably darker in all phases than Signature.

Hmmm. I'm not sure it the results of the comparison would vary depending on where both lenses are being activated. If it's in a warmer area maybe Signature, being less temperature sensitive, would out-perform Xtractive. This is why it would help to see some charts. Thanks anyway for your comment.

I know I'm impressed with my signatures, so much so that I don't reccomend the xtra actives to people wanting dark activation nearly as much as I used to... however the xtractives get extremely dark in hot (100+ temp) weather, more so than the signatures. Just my experience. Maybe they like the COLOR of the signatures more than the xtraactives? That sounds plausible, it is a beautiful gray.

Thanks Tallboy for your comment. Yeah, maybe it's the colour comparison that makes patients prefer Signature than Xtractive. I'm just curious though if Transitions has published anything to show activation comparisons between both lenses. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything yet from my research.

When explaining the benefits to a patient do you you refer to T7 as Signatures or Transitions?
