Confused uncut cr-39 plano sunglass lenses

I am looking for the best place (online) to buy uncut cr-39 plano tinted (sun-glass) lenses - for use in restoring antique/vintage frames.
    Suggestions please . . .

    Welcome, RS.

Tinted uncuts would leave untinted edges, wouldn't they? Wouldn't you still be in the position of needing to tint them after the edge?

    Hayde,
Thank you for your reply. Lenses I have used in the past do not leave untinted edges. The tint is not just on the surface, but is throughout the lens.

I get some from dynamic labs, they are made by zeiss. Great quality, dunno how cheap you are looking for.

I have been looking for quality PL, Pol, mirror coated, Prism lenses for two years. I know the lenses manufacturers make them for the big SG lines but they do not offer them to Optical people. Call a lab...all you'll get is "let me see"...we can surface them for you.

There are a lot on inexpensive, dime store quality lenses at dime store prices but I like good value not cheap lenses.

Let me see if I understand this. You want a plano poly with a mirror coat(color?) and some undetermined amount of prism and you expect this to be a stock lens and you want how many pairs?

Yup they have gray, green, and brown plano CR-39 tinted, very cheap, ophthalmic optics (as opposed to most sun lenses sunglasses come with). And yes they edge fine, tint absorbed through the lens. They also have well-priced poly, polarized, and mirrored.

I tint any CR39 lens in my tinting system in about 30 seconds in the microwave .

Just buy a bunch of clear planos and do them as needed, no big deal.

    Hello to all members!

Could someone let me know what is the exact radius curvature of Zeiss plano CR-39 sun lenses in 6 base curvature? I can't find their sun lenses catalogue anywhere.

    Thank you!

If you are looking for diameter, it is 76mm.

    Welcome aBoard!
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?

    Hi Quince,

Thanks for your reply, but i'm interested in the exact radius based on the exact base value. Even if the sun lens is marked at 6 base i believe its exact value is different and i just need to be sure of what are their exact values.

Why does a CONSUMER need to know this information??
