What are the correct ways to distinguish the differences between new photochromic lenses with transition ? how can we say one lens is photochromic or transitions ?

Photochromic I assume would refer to any lens with photochromic capabilities in the lens. (Example, Life Rx, SunSync, etc) Transitions are a specific brand of photochromic lens.

If your question refers to how you can tell if a lens is photochromic or not, a UV demonstrator bulb or lamp would trigger it, or you can just simply step outside when it is cold out or sunny out.

As far as distinguishing between the different types of photochromic/Transitions lenses, that could be a bit tricky. Maybe someone with more knowledge than I could help you on that

Compare the lenses to your demonstrator samples.

If you are referring to the signature transitions, the colors are more true to their respective description. If you are referring to identifying older transitions to photochromatic that may prove to be more difficult. Age, material, and exposure are just a few things that can alter the color as well as the performance of the lens; which may provide us with some of the tell tale information as to its origin.
