    Hood Fan

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American posters.
I am wanting to get a hood fan to put over the edge for when we cut trivex etc.
Can anyone tell me where to look to purchase one and who I would get to install?

    Many thanks,
    Golfnorth

That could give you a start:

That could give you a start.

I had one made for my business where it can be critical and had a sheet metal one made and mounted and delivered and installed by a local sheet metal company.

we use a high-power bathroom exhaust fan and it is now connected to our edger so we have no smell in the office.

Essentially you need a box. Put the edger in the box. Put exhaust fan on top of box and connect fan to exhaust vent. If you want to get fancy, your box could be a cabinet. Then you could close the cabinet when in operation. Leave enough gap in cabinet door so fresh air can be drawn in. 1" -2" gap should do it.

We ran a hose from the back of the edger to the front of grill in the ceiling with a hose connection to hold it. We used a piece of cardboard to block the air flow thru the grill and it works great.
We have no smell or smoke at all in the lab; we used to leave the room and close the door when edging 1.74 and now there is no smell.
Our edger has a hole for the exhaust but we did not want to hook up a $2,000 machine when we did it for less than $10.
