    Vision Ease Change Rx

Has anybody been using the new vision ease Change Rx photochromic? Looks like they are moving away from the laminated photochromics. Does anyone have any information on this, or better yet have you seen it? All I could find is this http://www.vision-ease.com/Portals/V...llSheet714.pdf.

This is VisionEase's plastic photochromic. From a lab standpoint, we haven't seen any interest in this.

We use ChangeRx in SV, Ft28, and Novel and Novella. Our cost on semi-finished product is about 27% less than T7. I like the color better then T7 and in my comparisons the ChgRx always gets darker faster. Slower th change back.

We were a test lab for the ChangeRx so we've been running them for over three years now. Cost on them is very significantly lower than Transitions and there are always people who want a low(er) cost photochromic Free Form lens.

They get about as dark as Transitions 7 but do take a little longer to change back. You should be able to get a sample from Vision Ease to look at. Overall a very good product at a very good price.

I also know that, especially in the ST-28 category, they are selling a lot better than Vision Ease anticipated....
There are rules. Knowing those are easy. There are exceptions to the rules. Knowing those are easy. Knowing when to use them is slightly less easy. There are exceptions to the exceptions. Knowing those is a little more tricky, and know when to use those is even more so. Our industry is FULL of all of the above.

My lab has been using ChangeRx for SV stock lenses and not one complaint. Good price, works just as good as Trans 7, and a decent FSV rx range.
