QA program for Opticians

Hello everyone, Im new to the board, was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on the new QA program for Licensed Opticians, Im a optician who was certified at the beginning of this year and have no idea how it works

Welcome. Not sure which province you are from...if it's Ontario, there's a lengthy 'portfolio package' available from the College of Opticians that lists everything. It's a bit of a dog's breakfast if you can endure reading and deciphering it in its entirety.

In short, the QA requirement is now basically self regulated and credits are now obtained in hours. There is no longer a 3 year cycle to submit and now is based on the honour system to which you can be picked at random and must provide proof to the college you are in compliance.
