Surprise FDA inspections of trial Contact Lenses?

We had an Alcon rep in our office today saying that the FDA was doing random inspections or audits of expired trial lenses. Anyone know of anything like this happening?

interesting, i would have assumed that the FDA would have bigger fish to fry..... so it must be true!
