So I've had this Canon EyeQ SL fundus system in a couple of practices now over the years. Really like the image quality it's capable of...

...when it works! For some unknown reason, the geniuses at Canon (or whoever is writing their software) designed a platform that still runs on Windows XP, and there almost always seems to be difficulty getting the software to 'see' the camera. I have tired of running through all manner of start up sequences, power cycles, button pushing, voodoo magic and small cloven hooved sacrifices...and it just seems the camera to computer interface only starts when it feels like it (which seems to be roughly 50% of the time.)

Does anyone else who might have the same or similar Canon system be able to shed any light on the trick to get this dumb thing to wake up properly and connect all the time??

Thanks in advance!
