    Does anyone believe in Karma?

I'm serious. I've been traveling a lot lately, and wondered if buying into Karma wouldn't be helpful. Has anyone here tried it?

It seems like a better deal than buying a hotspot, or paying the high fees some (Vegas) hotels charge for WiFi.

    Anyone?

Hmm...after REALLY delving into it, it appears that it does not work in 2 of the 4 places I travel most often to.

Maybe not a deal after all...

As we RV around, our Verizon Jetpack hotspot device has worked everywhere from Grand Forks ND to Trinidad CA. I have to do online banking (I'm not always home when the bills arrive) which shouldn't be done on your motel's network, or Starbucks'. Buying your own is sometimes worth it.

After I posted this, my 17 year old came home and I asked him what his thoughts were. He looked at me and said, "Dad, you're phone is a hot-spot! He then proceeded to give me a 10 second lesson on how to open the app (already installed) on my phone.

Back when I first bought my Droid, the contract included unlimited data on both of our phones. Even since then, Verizon has been BEGGING us to upgrade our phones...so they can restart the contract, and charge us for the data. I buy phones on ebay, and keep the unlimited data plan. Now, with the hotspot, I'm really going to be getting a deal. (Unless I'm missing something)"
