Anyone have experience with Mobile Dispensing?

I recently started a mobile dispensing business catering to Industrial Rx safety eyewear. I am having some dificulty in the marketing department. Most facilities are gated so you cannot get on site without an appointment with the safety managers, and they never want to take my calls (as if i were some "salesperson" sheesh!). Does anyone have any experience in this field? I am also considering expanding to do nursing home dispensing. Any advice would be welcomed!

We did some nursing home dispensing a few years ago and it was not hard to coordinate it, but I tell you it can be one hell of a ride, we also let the home know we were there to do adjustments as well or new nose pads all the good stuff so you can end up spending the better part of a day at one.

Thanks for the advice! Did you charge an hourly fee to be there? Or did you rely on mostly self pay eyeglass sales?

Maybe try to partner up with a local MATCO guy. I think they are also 1099 people so I am sure if the deal is mutually beneficial they will help you. Unless they also offer safety RX eyewear, which they might. I just know a lot of worksites dont mind MATCO trucks pulling up since everyone loves quality tools and such.

For the old folks home we did it as a courtesy, sometimes we would get some sales out of it, it was mostly for dispensing and repairing for people who couldn't make into our shop.
