    Heartland for the win.

    http://www.heartlandpaymentsystems.com/

We've been using them for at least 8 years. They are very competitive on their rates, they don't fool around with introductory rates to hook you in. You can use a swiper or online-realtime key in processing. Daily deposits, if you close your batch before 2 PM central time, your payment is received the next day, otherwise you get it in 2 days on an automatic close.

I think I'm paying around 2.85 percent. Don't be fooled by cheaper rates because they will snag you on things like swap rates, exchange rates, no manual closing so they hold the money longer, etc. Additionally, if you have a large chargeback rate, you won't get hammered with holdbacks and money grabs like some unmentionable credit card processors do.

We also use Heartland. One of our docs uses Intuit GoPayment for the Ipad. Its nice has easy accounting features but the fees are higher. Older patients do think we are super modern and high tech when we use the Ipad.

Also use Heartland. It is virtually impossible to evaluate charges and try to compare one vendor with another. Their customer service is better than many.

Go with a company that offers good customer service. Recently we called Heartland and negotiated a better fee with them. They knocked off about $150 per month by "re-arranging" the fee schedule.

There are a lot to choose from. They vary on how they handle transactions. Perhaps you could check about the users reviews, processing fees, features, capability . services and ratings.

We are selling online and use third-party payment gateway to process the transactions. It is super easy to get started after signing up an account. It is great for software and ebooks industry.
