Essilor Kappa CTD goove fault

Hi there.
I have Essilor edger and i got a problem with grooving motor. There comes a signal to motor, but it looks stuck. I need to push it gently in rotation direction and then it works. Machine is out of warranty and local dealer wants to change all grooving unit for big money. How complicated is that unit, is it worth to open it and have a try to fix it.
Maybe someone have some instruction?

In US nobody wants to open up anything! They want you just to change the whole motor. I assume you tried to put some grease on it? Inside you have a bunch of gears that might also just need greasing up, but.....

Few years ago i fix feeler block, and it still works fine, so i will try.. :)

I was cleaning the engine manifold a grooving unit, he worked for about half a year. If the motor has more than 150 milliamp DC current it is bad.

Today i tried to open that metallic cover with no luck.. 3 of 7 screws are stuck..

I changed the bad screws in a cover on the screws for eyeglasses after.

I have having some major issues with my kappa ctd tracer... the feeler won't trace the frame. there is something "allegedly" broken internally, as told by my essilor tech who DID NOT fix this. it would seem that it is up to me. any recommendations? what should I be looking for?
