    Any viable OGI/Seraphin replacements?

Have sold both OGI and Seraphin with immense success over the past three years or so. But our local rep changed about a year ago, and now we can't get any reliable service from the company - he's really just terrible as a rep.

Anyone happen to have leads on similar lines, with a similar price point you would suggest instead? Perhaps things will change one day with our local scenario, but I'm not holding my breath. In the mean time, we'd like to start culling the monotony of all the tired old design houses that currently clutter the boards at the new practice I'm with.

We've got Prodesign, and Ted Baker that do well, but we're in a slightly upper scale neighborhood, and could use some of that boutique feel on our boards - just without the insane price some charge.

    TIA!

    B~

That's too bad, I love Seraphin, and do well with it. I really love Masunaga, great product, classic design, you would have to search long and hard to find a better made acetate. Kio Yamato, nice titanium's their O&X product isn't bad and sells thru.

Thanks guys. Yeah, not happy they took a rep who was arguably one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of working with and released her for the new derp. Will look into these other options. Any more? I appreciate it!

Why not just cut out the rep and deal directly with them? They're pretty cool, they might be able to make something work.

I've asked about that, but it seems they've undergone some sort of "restructuring" in the past couple years (which was the same thing I was told when they let go the original much better rep), and they have said that the only way to see the frames prior to bringing in the lines here is to work with this new guy. *sigh*

Can you see them on their website?

Well sure. But we all know that is NOT the way to buy a single pair of frames, let alone a viable means of bringing in two entirely new collections.

Well, at that point make sure you let them know to give you a call when they get a new rep for your area. I'm hard pressed to think of good alternatives to either line for the price point.

We had a similar problem with OGI a couple years ago. The rep was great about coming in for our initial order, then we never heard from him again.

If you already have Prodesign, do you really need something like OGI? They are a very similar aesthetic. I would say, commit to more color in Prodesign and bring in Oga and Koali from Morel.

I am working on the Prodesign angle with the powers that be. And while I *love* much of the Morel line, when I was first introduced to the brand, the pricing looked to be notably more than OGI. Not saying they aren't worth it, but I'm working in baby steps here.

Of course, there's also the fact that the Morel rep happens to be.....THE SAME GUY AS OGI.

    *sigh*
