It would be greatly appreciated if you could name any lab you know with in house Crizal capabilities that is not owned by or partnered with the big E.
The only one I know is Luzerne, but I would imagine there are others?
Thanks!

We at IcareLabs have in house Crizal. Some other labs that I am aware of are Expert Optics, Cherry Optical Green Bay, and Walman Optical.
Luzerne has produced Crizal in-house for several years. We are also now producing Varilux S in-house.
US Optical does Crizal Alize, Avance Crizal Sun , OptiFog and Prevencia inhouse . 24-48 hours. We can do it on most brands of lenses using Essilor approved blanks.
Money carefully refunded
So, I'm just curious, why do you want Crizal if you're concerned about it being an Essilor-owned lab? Since it's an Essilor product either way.
OptiCraft Portland Oregon, not sure if they are an Essilor lab but they do all of the Crizal coatings, IMO good old Alize is the best
Opticraft is an Essilor Lab http://www.opticraft-optical.com/
Why do you think it's better than Avance?Originally Posted by Outkast;

I know E will crush us if we let it happen, and I see that E is destroying some of the best lab "partners" they have teamed up with. I have tried dozens and dozens of AR. Regardless of what anyone posts on here, I find that 95% of them are significantly inferior to Cri zal. The cheapest Cri zal lens holds up much better and cleans much easier than the most expensive from many many other brands.
I am never married to any brand names. I want whats best for my patients. If it is Off-label optical or Zeissilor or what ever makes no difference. But I want to provide quality. Ideally, I would like to find a top notch lab that can do just about anything in-house with Crizal capabilities that also runs their own no-name AR through the same machines using the same process...
Independent? Just kidding themselves. That's like which independents have veriluxes. They have already given up their independence.
I have seen Avance break down in a matter of just over two years, I have never seen an Alize lens that has crazed or got the orange peel look as we call it and it has better hydrophobe.
Once they get Crizal in house, an indepenent is on the big E radar and won't be independent for long.
Luzerne was one of the first independent labs to produce Crizal products in-house and is still independent, family-owned and proud of it.
The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
