POSITION: Optical Customer Service Associate

We are looking for committed, conscientious associates whose first priority is taking care of the needs of our customers. We are constantly seeking qualified eye care professionals to assist us in carrying out our mission to enhance our customers' eye care experience. The Optical Customer Service Associate will be responsible for handling incoming sales calls and customer service requests for FramesDirect.com customers. This position reports to the Operations Manager. Optical experience is REQUIRED for this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist customers in creating orders for eyewear via phone
• Process orders entered via the web
• Assist customers with questions about products, prescriptions, order status, discounts and promotions, etc.
• Work closely with other FramesDirect departments such as order dept, backorder dept, lens lab, marketing, etc.
• Create and maintain an environment that is fun, educational, and professional.
• Maintain a continuous effort to obtain company objectives
• Ability to explain product features and benefits of frames, lenses, sunglasses and contact lenses to customers
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Optical experience is REQUIRED for this position.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels in person, via phone, via chat
• Must be computer-literate
Qualifications:
• High school diploma with 2 years post graduate education preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Optical Sales and Customer Service. Optician certification is a plus.
